Fall is here again and it is time for you to get ready for winter.  Please consider taking the following steps:

·         Turn off outside spigots and drain the water from them to prevent broken pipes

·         Close crawl space vents

·         Have your fireplace inspected and-or cleaned

·         Check smoke detectors to make sure they are in working order.  Also if you have a gas fireplace, consider installing a carbon monoxide detector

·         Service your heat pump and replace or clean filters

·         If you are having firewood delivered remember:  No vehicles are allowed on the common area grasses.  The wood must be carried to the back.  Wood should not be stored in contact with the building or deck

·         In the event we get snow or ice, please DO NOT use salt on sidewalks.  Sand and kitty litter are fine

Some general reminders:  

·         Please observe the speed limit signs and drive SLOWLY. There are many children playing in the neighborhood

·         Bikes, skateboards and other objects are not to be left on the common areas

·         The MCCA Rules and Regulations require that owners of pets walked upon the common elements must promptly clean up their pet droppings

·         Trash pickup days are Mon. , Wed., and Fri

·         The water to the Dock facilities will be turned off during the week of November 24, 2008
